This steak and strawberry salad is a celebration of love & flavors! The sweetness of the strawberries, richness of the steak, tang of the blue cheese crumble and the satisfying crunch of the nuts! Pair this with a glass of red wine and this meal sets the perfect romantic mood for celebrating love this Valentine's Day!
Ingredients
-
2 New York Steak (any steak will work)
-
Spring mix salad
-
1 small bag shaved roasted almonds
-
½ cup of blue cheese crumbles
-
1 Cup balsamic vinaigrette dressing
-
1 Tablespoons steak seasoning
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 Cups Strawberries
Directions
Start by prepping all of your ingredients. Washing your strawberries and thawing out your steak.
After the strawberries are washed, slice (we like slicing them vertically into heart shapes- especially if serving for Valentine’s Day) and set aside.
Next you’ll want to prep your steak! Coat your steaks with a little oil and season.
Heat up your pan to about medium, medium-high!
Once the pan is hot add your steak and cook until desired doness. Around 3-4 minutes (depending on steak thickness and desired doneness). Always remember- the best way to get the perfect steak is to use a meat thermometer!
Once your steak is cooked, set aside and let it rest for 5 minutes while you assemble your salad.
Start with your spring mix.
Next layer on your nuts and strawberries!
Then your steak and blue cheese crumble.
And lastly finish it off with some balsamic vinaigrette dressing and ENJOY!
Recipe Note
Top tip: Adding a side of fries!
